Minister of Defense, Sorin Frunzaverde will participate between February 9 and 11, in Munich, in the 43rd edition of the Conference for the Policy of Security.

This year, the Conference will be focused on the Global Crisis- Global responsibility issue.

For the works of the Conference they invited 250 participants from about 40 states, among them being the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, the German Minister of Foreign Affairs, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, NATO General Secretary, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, the US Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, the EU High Representative for the Policy of Security and Common Defense, Javier Solana, the Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.

The participants will have talks, among others, on the Russian role in the world policy, the regional model of peace, security and welfare the European Union devoted, the peace in the Middle East, the international terrorism and the asymmetric threats.
