The graduation ceremony of the 17th series of the National College of Defense and the open of a new series of courses occurred today, February 27, in the Marble Hall of the National Military Cercle Palace.

In the presence of military and civil personalities, the Minister of Defense, Sorin Frunzaverde, granted the graduation diplomas and appreciated the activity developed by the lecturers and the students of the National College of Defense underlining the fact that Romania as member state of the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance needs this activity to be continued for countering the new challenges.

The graduates of the 17th series are part of the structures of the national system of security, the Parliament, the central and local authorities, the civil society, business and media community.

The National College of Defense was established in 1992 aiming to educate in defense and national security domain. Till now, 828 students graduated this institution and among them, 33 are from NATO members or partners.
