The Ministry of Defense, through the Directorate of Information and Public Relations launches on Internet www.mapn.ro/tabara, the national contest of selection of pupils from the 9th-11th classes for the participation in the fourth edition of the Scouts Summer Camp to be developed in August 2007 at the Army Academy Nicolar Balcescu in Sibiu.

The activity is organized by the Ministry of Defense in partnership with the National Authority for the Young People and the Euro-Atlantic Association Manfred Worner.

The Camp, developed under the motto Be the best! aims to develop and put into value the physical and moral qualities of the young participants, the spirit of competition and team.

The selection contest will be on-line between March 1 and June 1, 2007 and will test the young people knowledge on the Romanian Armed Forces, NATO and the EU.

The people wishing to participate in this activity must fill the register and answer to the 35 questions.

Between June 1 and 15, the jury will evaluate the answers sent by e-mail and will make the top according their percentage. The first 42 pulpils will be considered as qualified for the participation in this training camp.

The camp program will comprise military, sport activity and visits to the military and tourist objectives in the region.
