The General Staff organizes a press visit to the Zonal Selection and Orientation Center in Breaza, Friday, March 16, 2007 for the journalists to make a documentation on the process of selection of the voluntary soldiers.

The interested journalists should announce their participation at the Public Information Office of the General Staff, till Wednesday, March 14, 2007 by phone 0722380138 or by e-mail: cspinu@mapn.ro.


The process of selection of the voluntary soldieries started by the filling of files for the candidates and the their medical check in the military hospitals and polyclinics, close to their domiciles.

The medical fitted participants will be planned for the visit to the Zonal Selection and Orientation Centers (Breaza, Campulung Moldovenesc or Alba Iulia) for the psychological and physical tests.

The admitted young people, in the training centers, will have the training program for five months, structured on two components:

- the individual training module ( 2 months) - for those with no military training, based on the general and tactical military training, for the formation of the necessary behavior for the individual protection, combat and handling of armament/equipment
- the improved training module (2-3 months) based on the special military training, specific to the military branches the soldiers will be engaged.

At the end of the training period and the pass of the exams, the voluntary soldiers will sign their first contract of engagement ( up to four years long).
