Chief of the Army Staff in dialogue with the military attaches

Chief of the Army Staff, Lieutenant General Teodor Frunzeti met Friday, March 23 with the foreign air and navy military attaches accredited in Romania.

The activity aimed to present the priorities of the Romanian Army for 2007, the stage of operationalization of forces, the running on programs of modernization and endowment and the participation in the international missions.

The increase of the effective of forces and the capability of the troops in the theaters of operations, the command and control optimization, the improve of the working and life conditions and the efficient spending of the public money are the Army's few of the priorities for this year.

Chief of the Army Staff remarked the excellent cooperation between the Romanian and our partners' troops in the theaters of operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Western Balkans and stressed on this cooperation is special for the common training exercises and one of the Army's aims for this year is to increase the training activity for the commands and the troops.

General Frunzeti expressed his hope for the Romanian Army to continue the excellent relationship of cooperation with the air and navy military attaches accredited in Romania thus contributing in the increase of the military relations with these states.

They also approached the issues on the measures to be taken for the improve of the life and working conditions for the military, the re-dimensioning of forces in the theaters of operations, the system of recruit of the voluntary military and the stage of the process of reform of the Army.
