Minister of Defense, Teodor Melescanu participated Thursday, April 12, to the opening of the annual Session of scientific works Strategii XXI with international participation.

Minister Teodor Melescanu mentioned, in his speech, among others, that the South Eastern Europe, where Romanian exists, is the continental area with the highest risks and threats towards the security. Teodor Melescanu also made a remark on the fact that the modern states must adapt themselves for the new challenges, terrorism included.


The Defense Minister was invited by the commander ( rector) of the National University of Defense Carol I, General Mircea Muresan to visit a military equipment exhibition especially opened during Strategii XXI , the annual Session of scientific works with international participation. The event is organized and hosted by the National University of Defense Carol I and occurs between April 12 and 13 with the South Eastern European Area within Globalization as the main theme of debates.
