Naval subunits of the Romanian Navy will conduct a naval combat exercise with missile launching, organized in the national waters, between April 16-20, 2007. 25 ships, 2 mobile launching missile systems will take part in this sea exercise. Two helicopters IAR-330 PUMA and a MIG 21 LanceR fighter of the Romanian Air Force will contribute, too.

The exercise planned by the Fleet Command aims at improving all structures' capacity to plan and conduct artillery firings and naval missile launching.

Artillery firings of different calibers will be conducted from monitors and fast ships of the River Service of the Fleet Command, on April 16.

Missile launching will be executed by the frigate Marasesti and missile carrier ship Lastunul in the sea firing range Capu Midia, on April 19, 2007.
