Additional News on the Evolution of the Romanian Soldiers Wounded in Iraq

Referring to the medical status of the four soldiers, 495th Infantry Battalion, wounded in the accident which occurred during a patrol mission, on April 14, 2007:
a Multinational Coalition aircraft took Private Dan Daniel PORUMB to the Landsthul Hospital, US Ramstein Base, Germany. He will be submitted to additional medical tests on his spine.

Other two Romanian troops wounded in that accident are still hospitalized in the US Hospital Ballad, near Baghdad. Warrant officer Alexandru Toma PETRE suffered a left shoulder fracture and Corporal Iacob Valentin MUSCA a slight thorax trauma. The two soldiers will return to Tallil base next week.

Warrant officer Victor Cornel Giuseppi PETRILA suffered slight contusions and was under medical care in hospital, Tallil base. He returned this morning to Dracula camp.
The battalion command briefed the Defence Minister Teodor MELESCANU on the accident and the competent medical assistance the Romanian soldiers receive, on April 15, 2007.
