The Romanian-US exercise Snipper-Lance 2007 takes place with the contribution of 493rd Squadron, U.S. Air Force in Europe, and 861st and 862nd Romanian Squadrons, Fetesti Air Base, at the military airfield Mihail Kogalniceanu, on April 23-May 3, 2007. The U.S. Squadron will bring F-15 and KC-135 aircrafts, and the Romanian squadron, MIG-21 Lancer, respectively.

The purpose of this exercise is to jointly practice the NATO tactics related to the air combat, the deployment procedures and logistic procurement, the promotion of the mutual trust and cooperation between both contributing nations.

The journalists interested in this activity are allowed to have access for documentation on May 1-3, 2007.
