The Defence Minister at the exhibition BLACK SEA DEFENCE AND AEROSPACE BSDA 2007

The Defence Minister Teodor MELESCANU has attended the Official Opening of the Military Equipment Exhibition BLACK SEA DEFENCE AND AEROSPACE BSDA 2007 today. The exhibition was organized with the support of the Romanian Defence Ministry in Bucharest.

The Minister Teodor MELESCANU stressed, in his speech, that under the circumstances of the rapid changes occurring at the regional level and worldwide, the defence industry deals with multiple security aspects. These changes entail the conclusion of real partnerships between the involved countries, including in the field of the procurement for the Army, Naval and Air Force.

The Defence Minister acknowledged the contribution of some prestigious companies of the defence industry, manufacturing high-tech military equipment, to this exhibition, and sustained the cooperation among the countries in the Black Sea Region to set stability and a democratic development in this region.

The Minister Teodor MELESCANU along with Admiral Gheorghe MARIN, Chief, Romanian General Staff, and State Secretary Corneliu DOBRITOIU, visited the stands of the exhibition open at the showroom ROMAERO Baneasa, on April 24-27, 2007.

More than 165 companies from over 20 countries, manufacturing high-tech military equipment for the civil aviation, air, terrestrial and maritime defence exhibit their products these days.
