A search platoon convoy of the Soimii Carpatilor 812th Infantry Battalion and a sub-unit of the Afghani National Forces of Security was attacked Tuesday, May 1, around 4 p.m. by the Talibani insurgents at about 20 km North East of Qalat, Zabul province. The event occurred during the routine patrol mission in the area of responsibility.

The soldiers acted according to the standard proceedings and the attack was rejected. The Battalion commander confirmed the fact that no Romanian soldier was wounded .

During the attack, one of the Romanian TABs was slightly affected one of the our tires was affected by the bullets of the insurgents.
