The Ministry of Defence organizes Wednesday, May 9, in the localities the units and the big units are deployed, the ceremony of the Day of State Independence of Romania and the Day of Victory of the United Nations Coalition in the Second World War.

In Bucharest, the program of celebration includes the lay of wreaths at the Monument of the Heroes of the Second World War, in front of the University of National Defence Carol I at 10 a.m.: a symposium on 130 years since the Proclamation of Independence of Romania at 11 a.m. and the opening of exhibition 1877-2007, 130 years since the Proclamation of Independence of Romania at 13 p.m., both of them occurring at the National Military Museum.

Between 19 and 19.30 hours the Military Bands will have a parade on B-dul Magheru, B-dul Balcescu-Piata Universitatii and a concert on the esplanade in front of the National Theater up to 23.00 hours.
