Minister of Defence, Teodor Melescanu met Monday, May 7, at the MoD HQ the representatives of the War Veterans Associations requesting the support for the modification and completation of Law 44/1994 for the war veterans and different rights for the invalids and the war widows, re-printed.

During the reunion they agreed on the fact that the associations and the specialists of the Ministry of Defence to make a draft of law on the war veterans and the military that participated in the theaters of operations.

We have now a new category of veterans, excepting those from the First and the Second World Wars: the veterans of the theaters of operations. We must find out the ways for integration for those who became invalids during their participation in the international missions to benefit of the facilities offered by these associations said Minister Teodor Melescanu during the meeting.
