The MoD leadership approved for a IAR 330 PUMA helicopter of the 71st Air Base, Campia Turzii to perform a humanitarian mission on Bistrita-Targu Mres route on May 8, 2007.

The helicopter equipped in MEDEVAC variant will transport a young lady, 26 years old, severely wounded in a car accident. A SMURD team from Targu Mures will ensure the medical special assistance during the transport.

The mission is requested by the Minister of Interior and Administrative Reform.
