The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Poland, Alksander Szczyglo, will pay an official visit in our country between May 28 and 29, invited by the Minister of Defense, Teodor Melescanu.

The official talks at the MoD HQ will approach the common interest issues on the European Policy of Security and Defense, the participation in the theaters of operations in Afghanistan and Iraq and the bilateral military cooperation. The two officials will also have talks on the state of security in the Western Balkans and the NATO process of transformation.

The Polish guest will also have meeting at Palatul Cotroceni with General Constantin Degeratu, State Adviser in the Department of National Security, and will visit the National University of Defense Carol I and the 21st Mountain Battalion in Predeal.

Minister Teodor Melescanu and Minister Alksander Szczyglo will have a press statement at the Ministry of Defense Headquarter, Monday, May 28, at 13.15 p.m.
