Minister of Defense, Teodor Melescanu will have an official visit between May 30 and 31, in the Republic of Bulgaria, invited by his counterpart, Veselini Bliznakov.

Minister Teodor Melescanu will have a meeting with the Bulgarian Minister of Defense, Veselini Bliznakov and will participate in the ceremony of lay of wreaths at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.

The bilateral talks will be focused on the evaluation of the environment of security in the enlarged Black Sea region, the state of security in the Balkans, the cooperation regional initiatives (SEDM, BLACKSEAFOR, BLACK SEA HARMONY) and the Romanian-Bulgarian relations of cooperation in military and defense policy domain.

Minister Teodor Melescanu will be received by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Georg Parvanov and will have official meeting with the vice-PM and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivazlo Kalifi and the president of the Commission of Defense of the Bulgarian Parliament, Anghel Naidenov.
