Anniversary at Dimitrie CantemirMilitary College

Dimitrie Cantemir Military College from Breaza, celebrates 95 years since the establishment in June 4, 1912 of the Military College from Manastirea Dealu.

The ceremony occurring this occasion will be Monday June 4 at 9.30 a.m. They will receive the College Flag and the Romanian Army booklet of Honor, will present a demonstrative training exercise and will unveil the marble commemorative plates enlisting the names of the heroes who were the former students of the College.
The guests invited to participate in this event are the representatives of the MoD leaders and the local and central administration.



Nicolae Filipescu, Minister of War, decided in June 4, 1912 to establish the Military College from Manastirea Dealu, an educational institution that in September 1940 was moved in Predeal till 1948. On September 25, 1949 in Roman, they established the Military College with Dimitie Cantemir as the spiritual patron.

Dimitrie Cantemir Military College from Breaza was considered as the continuator of Nicolae Filipescu Military College from Manastirea Dealu due to the agreement of continuity signed in September 25, 1994 between the Association of Former Students and Professors from Manastirea Dealu and the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense.

In December 1, 1999, the name of the institution was changed in Dimitrie Cantemir Military College. In the 95 years of existence more than 12,500 graduates left this prestigious institution of education and became officers, lawyers, artists, writers, and man of the power honoring the school and the Romanian Armed Forces.

Dimitrie Cantemir Military College is a military modern institution of education where one can get civilian and military culture and science so useful for the continuation of military high studies.
