Romanian-Turkish Common Training exercise

A Romanian Platoon from the 498th Parachutists Battalion and a Turkish Parachutists Sub-unit will participate in a common training exercise between June 4 and 9, in Romania and Turkey.

30 Romanian Parachutists will participate in Turkey, in Kayseri, in the training activity organized by the Turkish part and 30 Turkish Parachutists will train in common with the Romanian parachutists in Bacau region.

The aim of this activity is the increase of interoperability and cooperation between the Parachutists of the Romanian Army and the Turkish Army. During the exercise, the military will develop the actions of preparation of the airborne operations, will have firings with their armament and will train in survival techniques and proceedings in a hostile terrain.

The Day of Distinguished Visitors will occur June 7, at 12 a.m. at the 498th Parachutists Battalion HQ in Bacau; the Romanian and Turkish Parachutists will develop an airborne assault exercise for the neutralization/destroy of terrorist elements and release of hostages.
