''DYNAMIC RESPONSE 2003'' EXERCISE

NATO will develop DYNAMIC RESPONSE 2003" exercise in Kosovo between September 3 and 26, 03. The goal of this exercise is the train of peace support forces from the Balkans using the available reserves for creating a safety and security area in the South East of Europe.

2nd Infantry Battalion "Calugareni" part of SFOR and KFOR Strategic Reserve is participating to this exercise with 155 military together with 2 officers from Joint Operation Command Buzau and American, Italian and German contingents. They are training for using NATO working proceedings in order to be able to perform a wide range of real missions within the forces participating to peacekeeping and stability missions in that region.

Up to the present, the Romanian military together with the Americans performed reconnaissance missions in the area of responsibility and after being under the operation command of the Multinational Division Command will perform patrol missions on the main routes in the area of responsibility and train for air medical evacuations together with the specialized medical formations.

"DYNAMIC RESPONSE 2003" multinational exercise developed in the theater of operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo represents a real possibility in operational training of forces from SFOR and KFOR Strategic Reserve and the firm prove of NATO and international community for keeping the peace in the Balkans.
