Four MiG 21 LAnceR of the Romanian Air Force will ensure starting the end of the month, the Air Police in the Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia).

The technical personnel and the pilots of the 71st Campia Turzii Air Base will participate in BALTICA '07 operation, between July 31and October 31, 2007.

The Romanian Detachment main mission is the Air Police Service under NATO command in peace time as integrant part of the collective air defense in order to maintain the designated air space integrity Baltic States.

The leaving ceremony of BALTICA'07 Detachment will occur Thursday, July 19, at the 71st Campia Turzii Air Transport. The transportation from Otopeni to Campia Turzii and back will be ensured by a military airplane from the 90th Air Transport Base.
