Romania is supporting Croatia's join to NATO stated Minister Teodor Melescanu in Zagreb

Romania is supporting Croatia's join to the Euro-Atlantic structures and hopes, during the Bucharest NATO Summit, next spring, to be made this country's invitation of join to NATO stated Defense Minister Teodor Melescanu during the meeting with his Croatian counterpart, Berislav Roncevic, Tuesday, July 24, in Zagreb.

The two Defense Ministers declared to be in favor of a peaceful solution on the state of Kosovo province, considering NATO-EU cooperation to be one of the most important elements in identifying such a solution.

Another issue discussed during the bilateral talks was the military cooperation between the two states and Minister Melescanu shared the Romanian expertise of join to NATO to the Croatian officials.

During the visit in Zagreb, the Defense Minister was received by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic and by the Vice-PM Jadranka Kosor and had a meeting with the State Secretary in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Hido Biscevic.

Minister Teodor Melescanu and the military delegation are in official visit in the Republic of Croatia invited by the Defense Minister, Berislav Roncevic.
