The Defense Minister, Teodor Melescanu will participate Thursday, August 2, at 10 a.m. in the ceremony of lay of wreaths at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier, in Bucharest. The ceremony will occur within the commemorative manifestations organized by the Ministry of Defense for the celebration of 90 years since the heroic fights in Mararsesti, Marasti and Oituz.

The commanders of garrisons will organize between August 2 and 15, 2007 different symposiums, meetings with historians and veterans, visits at the museums and military and religious ceremonies of lay of wreaths at the monuments, mausoleums and graveyards of heroes, no matter their nationality, who died in the First World War.

Thus, Friday, August 3, at 10 a.m. at the Graveyard of Heroes in Comanesti, Sunday August 5 at Ecaterina Teodoroiu's Monument in Muncelu, at 9 a.m. at Marasesti Mausoleum at 1030 a.m. at Soveja Mausoleum at 1 p.m. and Wednesday, August 15 at 10 a.m. at the Heroes Graveyard in Oituz.
