The 1st Ground-Air Missile Brigade General Nicolae Dascalescu will develop between August 6 and 26, the tactical firing exercise SOIMUL 2007 in Capu Midia training camp and shooting field.

The exercise is conceived on a complex scenario to train the ground-air missile sub-units simultaneously with the training of the MiG 21 LanceR and IAR 99 SOIM escadrilles in specific air defense missions according to NATO standards and proceedings.

Real flight missions, training on real air targets, watch over the air space in automatic and non automatic range, informational support with radiolocation data necessary to aviation actions and firings with missiles in Capu Midia firing field will be performed during the exercise.

At the end of the exercise, there will be made the evaluation of the personnel, the performances of the combat means and the ground-air missiles firings on real targets that are marking the air attack means acting at low heights with high speed.

The media representatives are invited to participate in the activity developed in Capu Midia, Constanta County, on August 22, 2007.
