The first edition of the Orientation Regional Competition is developed in Predeal between August 7 and 15, under the aegis of the Military Sport International Council.

At the start there will be about 48 military sportsmen from Lithuania, Poland, Turkey and Romania and they will compete Friday, August 10, from 4 p.m. on the established routes, in tests of orientation on short, medium and long ranges.

The competition is organized by the Section of Physical Training and Sport of the General Staff in cooperation with the Romanian Federation of Orientation and Mentor Silva Sport Club from Bucharest.

Developed under the motto Friendship through Sport, this competition aims to promote the team spirit, to develop and strengthen the physical capability and friendship between the military of the states that are members of the Military Sport International Council.

During the training in Predeal and Poiana Brasov, developed for two days, the 48 participants became familiar with the terrain and the weather and participated in cultural-artistic events in the region.

In the same period of time, the Romanian military team is participating in other two competitions organized by the Romanian Federation of Orientation: Cup of Romania and Mentor Silva Cup.
