The Romanian and German Flags hoist ceremony during the official opening of the Camp of War Graves Care will occur Monday August 27, at 11 a.m. in the barracks of the NBC Defense Training Center Muscel, in Campulung-Muscel.


The Romanian-German Camp of War Graves Care will be developed between August 26 and September 8, in Dragoslavele, Arges County. A detachment of 12 German military commanded by Senior Sergeant Meyer Matthias and 12 Romanian professional military from the NBC Defense Training Center Muscel commanded by Lieutenant Dragos Damian.

Already a tradition of cooperation between the two armed forces, the activity aims to re-habilitate the graves and commemorative works in the memory of the soldiers who fought during the First World War. The Camp is organized according to the Agreement between the Romanian Government and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on Romanian graves in Germany and the German graves in Romania, ratified by the Law no. 170/1997.

The actions in Arges County are coordinated by the Section of Traditions and Military Culture, from the Directorate of Operationalization, Generation and Evaluation of Forces of the General Staff.
