Statement on the state of health of the military that were wounded in Afghanistan

On the state of health of the four military from the 33rd Mountain Battalion Posada that were wounded September 6, during their mission in Afghanistan:

The NCO Alex Octavian Zafiu together with the Battalion's doctor, Lieutenant Gheorghe Ottobac, was transported by the Multinational Coalition plane from Kandahar to Landstudl hospital, in Ramstein US base, (Germany) for the specialized medical treatment.

The military presented the wounds on both inferior and superior limbs and cervical lesions, and was operated in Kandahar. He will suffer an operation on the right limb. According to the medical evaluation, his state of health is stable.

Lieutenant Nicolae Grigore was released and is under treatment in Kandahar.

The other two wounded NCOs are periodically going to hospital for control.

The Ministry of Defense is in contact with the families of the wounded persons to inform them on the evolution of their state of health.
