The Defense Minister, Teodor Melescanu will open by a video message Monday, September 24, the Course of Orientation in the European Policy of Security, organized and led in Brussels by the National College of Defense.

The Course, entitled The European Union A Global Actor is held between September 24 and 28, and is the first prestigious manifestation organized by the Romanian specialists under the aegis of the European College of Security and Defense (CESA) with the support of CESA secretary of the European Union Commission.

In this Course, part of CESA standard program for the 2007/08 educational year, the 66 participants are from 29 member, candidate and partner states and from the EU central bodies.

The activity is a CESA important part for training of the civilian and military personnel from the member institutions and aims to offer to the participants the bases and mechanisms necessary for understanding the very complex European security and defense issue.
