In the Aula of Carol I National University of Defense, today, September 26, occurred the War Veterans National Conference with the participation of 150 representatives of the War Veterans National Association (ANVR), knights of Mihai Viteazu Order, widows of war and successors of veterans, representatives of the leaders of the Ministry of Defense.

The president of the Association, General (reserve) Marin Dragnea presented the activity on the last two years and the future projects, and Lieutenant General (reserve) Teodor Halic informed the veterans on the way they spend the funds of this organization.

Both the Minister of Defense, through the message red by Colonel (reserve) Ioan Mija, and the Chief of the General Staff, through the message presented by Lieutenant General Sorin Ioan, expressed their deep respect for the war veterans, thanked them for all the sacrifices they made and promised them the MoD leaders support.

The war veterans also discussed, during the Conference, about the legislative drafts they send to the Parliament on the improve of their social life and at the end they laid a wreath at the Monument of the Second World War Heroes, in front of the National University of Defense.
