The first Reunion of the Ministerial Committee for the implementation of the Agreement between Romania and the United States of America on the activities of the US forces stationed on the Romanian territory, occurred Wednesday, September 26, at the MoD HQ.

During the Reunion, led by the president of the Committee, Corneliu Dobritoiu, State Secretary and chief of Department for Policy of Defense and Planning, they established the ways of function of this body and the points of contact at level of experts.

The Ministerial Committee is a consultative body, with no juridical personality, with the main attributions in the Agreement analyze, establish and apply.

The Agreement between Romania and the United States of America on the activity of the US forces stationed on our territory was signed on Bucharest in December 6, 2005 and ratified by Law no. 268/2006 established by the Decision of the Government no. 565/2007.
