Military doctors and relatives of the military hosted in Germany, in hospital, are evaluating their state of health

Minister of Defense, Teodor Melescanu ordered a medical team to depart to the hospital of Ramstein US base, Germany, for the evaluation of the state of health of the Romanian military wounded in Iraq.

The Romanian doctors went for Germany, today, September 27, by a Romanian Air Force plane. They have the mission to identify together with the US doctors the future therapy for each of the military so that they could benefit in the country, too, of adequate medical care and recovery.

The medical team is accompanied by relatives of the wounded military.
According to the last medical reports, the soldier Iovi Marius Traian was transferred to Bundeswehr Military Central Hospital in Koblenz, for a complex neuro-operation. He is in critical but stable condition.

Senior Sergeant Barbu Adrian Ilie was transferred to the German plastic surgery hospital in Ludwigshafen. He has an inflammation of the respiratory ways and is still intubated.

The other two wounded military, i.e. soldier Popa Sorin and NCO Nicola Danut benefit of special treatment in Ramstein. According to the medical evaluation, their state of health is good.

In the Romanian Camp in Tallil, Senior Sergeant Badea Gabriel Nicusor benefits of treatment for his burns.

Lieutenant Colonel Dorin Petrut from NATO Training Mission in Iraq is still in Ramstein, in hospital and recovers from the operation suffered on the left limb.

Soldier Zafiu Alex Octavian, wounded in Afghanistan and operated in Lanstuhl hospital, Germany was brought home, in Carol Davila Military Emergency Hospital, Bucharest.
