The Directorate of Information and Public Relations organizes between October 29 and November 9, the 15th series of the Course of Information and Public Relations for commanders of big units and commands from the Ministry of Defense.

The opening ceremony occurred Monday, October 29, in the presence of Lieutenant General Mihail Orzeata, director of the General Staff and the representatives of the Department for Parliament Liaison and Public Information and the chiefs of services.

The main aims of this Course are, among others, the practice of communication ability within the military institutions and the relation with the civilian society, stressing on the role of information and public relations in the act of command and the support the PR officer is doing according to the stipulations of the acts in force.

The program of the Course comprises the meeting with PR experts and military and civilian journalists, debates, games and media training.


The MoD organizes such types of courses since 2000 (for the PR staff 26 series and the commanders of big units and commands- 14 series). The Course was graduated by about 300 persons acting in area and more then 150 leading officers.
