An IAR 330 PUMA SOCAT military helicopter from the 90th Otopeni Air Base crushed Wednesday, November 7 at about 6.30 p.m. near Ungheni, Arges County.

The helicopter took off at about 5.45 p.m. from the 90th Air Base for a night time training flight, with no ammunition on board and a crew comprising two pilots and a mechanic.

Another helicopter from the Base searched the accident area.

The Minister of Defense ordered an investigation commission to establish the causes of this accident.
