Chief of General Staff, Admiral Ph.D. Gheorghe Marin will participate between November 13 and 14, in Brussels, in the 159th reunion of chiefs of Defense from NATO member states.

The reunion agenda comprises the issues on the major operations the North Atlantic Alliance is participating in, the ways of implementation of real capability different direction ways for the accomplishment of missions. They will also talk about the aspects to be included in the package of the Alliance's transformation and the issues to be enlisted on the military agenda of the future NATO Summit to be developed in Bucharest at the beginning of 2008. In this context, they will also have consultations with the representatives of the partner countries on the ways they will diversify and strengthen the military cooperation with the North Atlantic Alliance.

Thursday, November 15, the chief of the General Staff will participate in Brussels, too, in the reunion of the chiefs of Defense from EU member states. During the reunion they will approach the issues on the European Policy of Security and Defense, the EU led operations, the development of the EU capability and the ways of increase of the military cooperation between the European Union and Ukraine.
