Chief of General Staff, Admiral Ph.D. Gheorghe Marin will participate in the ceremony occasioned by the return home of Regele Ferdinand frigate, Monday, November 19, starting 11 a.m. in Constanta Military Bay.

Regele Ferdinand frigate participated between October 13 and November 18, under NATO command in Active Endeavour Operation on the Mediterranean Sea to supervise the naval and air traffic to counter the illegal traffic.

The frigate participated between September 17 and 28 in a stage of training together with the ships of NATO Permanent Naval Group on Mediterranean Sea SNMG 2, then in Noble Midas exercise hosted by Croatia. During the exercise, the Romanian ship was evaluated by NATO on interoperability with ships from NATO member states with favorable results and was certified by NATO level 1.

The ship is commanded by Captain Commander Marin Savulescu and for this mission had a crew of 203 sailors with 23 officers.
