The children of the heroes from the theaters of operations and military lost on duty in the country and the wounded in international missions, received presents from Santa Claus during the Winter holiday celebration at the Ministry of Defense, December 18.

In the celebration occurred under the patronage of the Defense Minister, Teodor Melescanu, the Artizanii and Los Platanos bands, the MoD Representative Military Band, the waits from the Guard Regiment Mihai Viteazu, students from the Military Bands Training Center and Andantino group of the National Military Cercle participated in this celebration.

State Secretary Corneliu Dobritoiu, chief of General Staff, Admiral Gheorghe Marin, deputy chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Mihail Orzeata, military and civilian personnel from the MoD central structures participated alongside the children.

The Christmas festivity continued in the MoD Aula with a show of traditional Romanian and international carols, organized by the General Staff and performed by professional and amateur artists.
