Chief of General Staff, Admiral Ph.D. Gheorghe Marin met Tuesday, January 15, at the MoD HQ his Slovenian counterpart, Lieutenant General Albin Gutman, in official visit in Romania.

During the official talks, Admiral Gheorghe Marin presented the elements of the Romanian Armed Forces process of transformation and their participation in missions outside the national territory. The two military leaders had an exchange of opinions on the increase of the military bilateral relations on Mountain Troops, Divers, military education, Special Forces and the possibility of cooperation within NATO Reaction Force or the EU tactical combat groups.

General Gutman was received by the Defense Minister, Teodor Melescanu, too.

The Slovenian guest, during his visit, will also lay wreaths at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier and will visit the National Defense University, the Army units and big units and will visit the cultural and tourist objectives in Bucharest Municipality.
