State Secretary Corneliu Dobritoiu, Chief of the Department of Defence Policy and Planning, participates in the Conference on NATO Presence in Afghanistan: Romania's Contribution to global peace and security, held at the Military Club in Iasi, on February 25 and 26.
The event is organized by the Centre for Conflict Prevention and Early Warning within the Euroatlantic Council Romania, in cooperation with the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies and with the support of Departament for the NATO Summit preparation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Participants are representatives of NATO structures, the Romanian Defence Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The topics addressed during the conference include NATO peace support operation in Afghanistan, the NATO role in the new international order, and aspects regarding life in Afghanistan before and after the Taliban regime.
