In recognition of the special merits in defending the country's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and Romania's interests, beginning with 2008, on April 29, the War Veterans Day will be celebrated.

On this occasion, wreath laying ceremonies will take place at the Unknown Soldier's Moonument in Park Carol I and at the Country's Heroes Monument in front of the National Defence University.

The events will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence, war veterans, public administration authorities, active and reserve military personnel.
