The Romanian Army Staff organises the symposium on "Army Transformation - responsibilities and limitations in the capability building to guarantee operational readiness", to be held on April 22, at the "Haiducului" Military Complex.

The Army Day is celebrated every year on April 23rd, on the Orthodox St. George - bearer of victory - holiday.

Papers on topics related to land forces transformation - downsizing and operationalisation, equipment, training modernization, international operations will be presented.
Beginning with 10 am, a round table will take place on the "Role of the Army in Implementing the decisions made at the Bucharest Summit".

Civilian and military officials from the Ministry of Defence, the Presidency, the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, the Prime Minister's Cabinet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The ministry of the Interior and Administrative Reform, the Romanian Intelligence Service, the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Romanian Scientists Academy have been invited to attend the event.
