A MEDEVAC aircraft of the Romanian Air Force from the 71st Air Base in Campia Turzii conducted a humanitarian mission on April 16, transporting two persons in serious medical condition to the hospital in Targu Mures.

The patients, one child prematurely born and an adult in coma, were taken from Bistrita the hospital in Targu Mures for specialized medical interventions.

The mission was approved by the Defence Ministry leadership upon SMURD request.

During the flight and the transport by ambulance, the patients were assisted by a SMURD team from Targu-Mures.

The aircraft crew leader was Captain Commandor Laurentiu Gabor.
