The Romanian Air Force AN 26 airplane from the 90th Air Transport Base is performing Saturday, July 26, a humanitarian mission to transport the wounded persons by an explosion, from Gheorgheni, Harghita County.
The patients are transported by a military airplane from Targu Mures Hospital to the Clinic Hospital of Reparatory, Burns and Plastic Surgery, in Bucharest.
The mission was approved by the MoD leaders, at SMURD's request.
During the flight and transport by ambulance from the airport to the hospital, the patients are assisted by a SMURD team from Targu Mures.
Lieutenant Commander Lucian Popa is leading the airplane crew.
