The MoD State Secretary, Corneliu Dobritoiu and Admiral Gheorghe Marin, Ph.D. chief of the General Staff, participated Sunday, July 27, at the Government HQ in the meeting of the Emergency Operative Committee to analyze the effect of last days floods.
During the debates, they established that the Ministry of Defense have to continue to participate in support of population especially in areas closed to Pascani and Roman and to strengthen and consolidate the ditches on Siret River.
The participants in the meeting were: the State Secretaries from the Ministry of Internal and Administrative Reform, Ministry of Transports, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Health, and the representatives of the Emergency General Inspectorate, State Reserve Administration, Institute of Meteorology, Institute of Hydrology, Romanian Waters, Land Improvement National Agency, Hidroelectrica and Electrica.
