TROOP ROTATION CEREMONY IN IRAQ

Soldiers of the 341st White Sharks Infantry Battalion took over the missions of the 151st Black Wolves Infantry Battalion in a ceremony held on August 21 in Camp Dracula, Iraq.

Brig. Gen. Liviu Burhala, Deputy Chief of the 2nd Joint Operational Command, Brig. Gen. Mihai Chirita, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Multi National Corps-Iraq, Maj. Gen. Michael Oates, Commander of the Multi National Division-Centre, and representatives of the Iraqi civilian and military authorities attended the event.

Burhala thanked the Black Wolves for their effort during the six-month deployment in South-Eastern Iraq and wished the White Sharks all the best for their following missions in the area.

Background information: Soldiers of the 151st Black Wolves Infantry Battalion stationed in Topraisar completed security and patrol missions in Dhi Qar province, South-Eastern Iraq, for the last six months. During the same period, the Romanian Soldiers concluded a series of humanitarian projects among which running water-supply systems, building and repairing roads, schools and a medical centre.
