Senior Sergeant Matei Gheorghe Irinel (28 years) , Lance Corporal Angelescu Dumitru Bogdan (27 years), Private Mihai Dumitru Marius (23 years) and Private Butoi Ionut Claudiu (30 years) from the 30th Mountain Battalion Dragoslavele were wounded, today, August 31, in Afghanistan.

Lance Corporal Anghelescu Dumitru Bogdan is hospitalized in Lagman Base in a stable condition.

The other three wounded military were transported from the Lagman Base hospital to Kandahar hospital, for the evaluation of their state and for medical care.

The Ministry of Defence supervises the state of health of the wounded military and is in permanent touch with their relatives.


A military was killed and other four were wounded today, August 31, at about 10 a.m. (Romanian time) in Afghanistan.

The military from the 30th Mountain Battalion Dragoslavele were in a mission of patrol on the A1 high way (Qalat-Kabul) at about 20 km far from Qalat. The third amphibious armored carrier from the column of four vehicles passed over an explosive device.
