The Minister of Defence signed, at the suggestion of the chief of General Staff, the order for the appointment in Second Lieutenant Rank (post mortem) of Senior Sergeant Alexandrescu Dragos Traian.
Teodor Melescanu send to the President of Romania the proposal to decorate the Second Lieutenant post mortem Alexandrescu Dragos Traian, killed in action in Afghanistan and the other four military wounded in the incident Senior Sergeant Matei Gheorghe Irinel, Lance Corporal Angelescu Dumitru Bogdan, Private Mihai Dumitru Marius and Private Butoi Ionut Claudiu.
The five military from the 30th Mountain Battalion Dragoslavele were Sunday, August 31, in a mission of patrol on the A1 high way (Qalat-Kabul) at about 20 km far from Qalat. The third amphibious armored carrier from the column of four vehicles passed over an explosive device and a military was killed and other four were wounded.
