The Minister of Defence, Teodor Melescanu will have an official visit in the United States of America between September 23 and 27, invited by his counterpart, Robert Gates.
Minister Melescanu will meet, during the visit, with political personalities from the State Department and the National Security Council and the US Congress leaders.
The official talks with the US Secretary of Defence, Robert Gates, will be focused on NATO transformation, the state of security in the Caucasus and the cooperation in countering the terrorism.
The two Ministers will approach the issue of the bilateral military relations, too.
