The Day of the Romanian Armed Forces will be celebrated Saturday, October 25. This occasion, the National Colors will be hoisted on all the military institution headquarters, and the maritime and river ships will be dressed over all.

The Ministry of Defence will organize different events in the Capital and all over the country, thus:

IN BUCHAREST

October 20-31 Polemos Book Show at Galeria Artelor and a Book Exhibition in Rotonda Scriitorilor, National Military Club Palace
October 23-31 Military Medicine in the Theatres of Operations, 1990-2008 Exhibition, National Military Museum
October 23 The MoD Representative Band in the extraordinary concert at Mihail Jora Studio, Romanian Broadcast Society (7.30 p.m.)
October 25 Military and religious ceremonies and lays of wreaths at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, Parcul Carol (10 a.m.) and the Monument of the Second World War Heroes, National Defence University Carol I (11.30 a.m.)
- Day of the Open Doors at the National Military Museum and the Museum of Aviation (free access between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.)
- The MoD Representative Band in extraordinary concert and the demonstrative exercise performed by the students of the Military Technical Academy in Parcul Alexandru Ioan Cuza (between 5- 7 p.m.)
- Concert performed by the Military Band and the demonstrative exercise performed by the 30th Guard Regiment Mihai Viteazul in Parcul Sergiu Celibidache ( between 5 and 7 p.m.)

IN THE COUNTRY

The military and religious ceremonies and the lays of wreaths will occur in Carei, in front of the Monumental Ensemble, October 24, starting 11 a.m.
The staffs of services, commands, big units and units, all over the country, will organize on October 25 the military and religious ceremonies and the lays of wreaths at the monuments of the heroes, and the festive meetings during which they will read the Order of the Minister of Defence occasioned by the Day of the Romanian Armed Forces. The Day of the Open Doors and sports and artistic-cultural activities, symposiums, meetings with veterans, exhibitions, gala of movies and shows will be organized, too.

ABROAD

In the countries where Romania has attaches of Defence, they will organized the exhibitions of military books, publications and photos and the ceremonies of lay of wreaths in the graveyards and at the monuments of the Romanian soldiers.
The military from the theatres of operations will celebrate the Day of the Romanian Armed Forces organizing the military ceremonies and different sports and cultural activities having as guests their partners from the multinational coalition.
