The 15th anniversary of the International Humanitarian Law Centre

The International Humanitarian Law Centre, subordinated to the General Staff, celebrates the 15th anniversary, Saturday, November 1, in a ceremony at the headquarter in Ploiesti, starting 11 a.m.
This occasion, they will launch the works on international humanitarian law, will awards prizes and anniversary distinctions and the public will have the possibility to visit the material and documentary base.


The International Humanitarian Law Centre is a specialized microstructure to ensure the training of the Romanian Armed Forces in international humanitarian law, to provide and spread the specific information, the integration of the international treaties stipulations in the internal norms and the printing and spread of the specific works.
To fulfill the attributions, the Centre cooperates with different structures with responsibility in international humanitarian law from the General Staff, and from the services, cooperates with the trainers from the military education institutions, legal advisers and the officers coordinating the activity of spread of the international humanitarian law in the military units.
The International Humanitarian Law Centre manages the problems of the Permanent Secretary of the National Commission of International Humanitarian Law.
