The militaries from the 341st Infantry Battalion Rechinii Albi, deployed in Iraq, participated Friday, December 12, in a CIMIC operation in Dhi Qar province. The aim of this operation was to give sweets and writing materials and bags to the children and blankets, water and food to the Iraqi population.
The commander of the Romanian Detachment, Lieutenant Colonel Vasile Vreme met the leaders of the community from this region.
The 341st Infantry Battalion, in the four month mission, performed about 700 missions in this area of operations.
