A New Series of Training Sessions for the Volunteer Soldiers (enlisted personnel)

On Monday, January 12, 2009, a new series of 2,100 young volunteer soldiers (enlisted personnel) started their military training within the training centres subordinated to the Land Forces Staff, Navy Staff, Air Forces Staff, Communications and IT Command and Joint Logistic Command.

The training program includes two components: the basic single training module, aiming at acquiring the general military and tactical knowledge and also the personal abilities necessary for self protection, combat and handling the weapons/equipment; the specialized training module, considered according to the specificity of each military branch, service and specialty further appointed by the volunteer soldiers.

The volunteer soldiers represent the foundation of the military hierarchy, in terms of professionalized military personnel, and the main source for NCOs formation.
